In 1986, Taratata was founded by three friends named Helen, Philippe, and Bernard who humorously referred to themselves as a "hairy rock star trio". They began making jewelry in their garage and the brand has since grown to become a well-known French brand.

The name "Taratata" originates from a French expression used to express excitement, surprise, or anticipation.

Taratata is still active today, and their vintage jewelry pieces have become collectibles.

The bracelet has some signs of wear. The gold plating in some places has worn off.
