Lot 173: Vintage David Grau Clip-ons

Vintage clip-on earrings by Catalan designer David Grau. The clip-ons feature round gold-tone medallions with a textured border and a heraldic-style shield motif in the center. Below, there are small dangling coin charms and pearl-like beads, which add movement when worn.

They're in perfect vintage condition. The earrings measure approx. 5 cm / 2 in in length and 3 cm / 1.2 in in width.

There is little information about Grau himself aside from the fact he was based in Barcelona, and he designed costume jewelry from the late 1980s to 2004. But I'm certain, however, that he left us an abundance of valuable jewelry that warrants our admiration and use.

Grau even contributed to a jewelry set for a Hollywood movie, with a necklace and clips fetching over $2000 at sale.
