The design feels clean and architectural — very much in line with Ferré’s structured approach to fashion. Gianfranco Ferré, often called “the architect of fashion”, trained as an architect before founding his own fashion house in the late 1970s. He later became artistic director of Christian Dior, where Ferré also designed the handbag that would later become known as the Lady Dior — first called the “Chouchou” before it was associated with Princess Diana in the mid-1990s.
