Lot 186: Vintage Paloma Picasso Mirror Locket Pendant

Vintage gold-tone locket pendant created for Paloma Picasso’s eponymous accessories line.

Paloma Picasso became internationally recognized through her jewelry collections for Tiffany & Co., beginning in 1980. She later expanded her creative work into fragrance, cosmetics, costume jewelry and accessories. Her first signature fragrance was launched in 1984.

The pendant has a rounded, domed shape that visually recalls forms found in her fine jewelry designs. It opens to reveal a small square mirror and a tiny red crystal detail inside, making it part necklace and part miniature vanity object.
The pendant comes with a black cord. It can be worn on the cord or transferred to a chain.
