Vintage clip-on earrings by Zoe Coste, composed of coloured cabochons, twisted chains and three articulated pendants. The shield-shaped drops recall Byzantine ornament, while the independently moving elements give the earrings an irregular rhythm.
Signed Zoe Coste, Made in France.

Condition. There is some fine cracking to the finish in a few areas. It is not very noticeable when worn and can be seen in the photos.
Vogue, September 1986
In 1970, Zoe Coste and Nino Amaddeo opened Ylang-Ylang in Juan-les-Pins. The company later became Reminiscence, a jewelry and fragrance house that continues today. After Coste’s death in 2007, her daughter Lilla Amaddeo took over its creative direction.
During the 1980s, jewelry was also produced and signed under the Zoe Coste name. The label had its own boutiques, including one on West 57th Street in New York, and a standalone Zoe Coste advertisement also appeared in American Vogue in 1986. Over time, the company placed greater emphasis on the Reminiscence name.
